Company visit to Saku Brewery

We are glad to present you next event.

WHAT: the interesting visit, guided tour in the company-producer of the Estonian beer – Saku Õlletehas (Saku Brewery).

Excursion will take 1 h 30 min. You will hear the facts, taste different beers and more. After that we can go to the pub of Saku Brewery. This will be on Friday, and on Friday they have live music in the pub, so – more fun.

WHEN: the excursion will be held on Friday, 10th September at 17:00.

WHERE: to reach small, but well-known Estonian town Saku, we will take the train; it will take 25 min to go by train. The train leaves Balti Jaam (railway station) at 16:36, line 0045 Tallinn – Viljandi.

COSTS: 120 kr (ca 7-8 EUR). You can pay upon arrival; please have the exact amount. The transporting costs are not included, but these costs are not expensive. The cost for train Tallinn-Saku is 15 EEK, and on the way back we take the route taxi 206, it will cost ca 25 kr; it goes 2 times per hour, every 00 ja 30 minutes, and the last- 21:30, 22:30, 23:30. On the way back you can take the train at 20:39 if necessary.

REGISTRATION: Registration form is below. Please register only if you take part. If you are registered, but can’t come, please notify us! It is very important because we have to know the exact number of people beforehand!

Your friends are also welcome to join us and have a fun Saku experience together.

MEETING PLACE: 10 September, at 15:34 we take trolley nr. 3 in KEEMIA to Kaubamaja. We’ll meet there and then we’ll take the tram nr. 1 or 2 until Balti Jaam (railway station).

If you go from the city center, take the tram nr. 1 or 2 (the direction- Kopli) near Viru Keskus not later than 16:05, go out at the station Balti Jaam (Hobujaama – Mere puiestee – Linnahall – Põhja puiestee – Balti Jaam). Make sure that the tram is going the right direction- Kopli and we’ll meet near the perron where it says “Viljandi” 0045.

Cave sauna, 07.09.10

Dear tutors and international students!

I am happy to inform you about the next event on Tuesday, 07.09.10 -
the Cave sauna visit at the Viking Village.

EVENT: the Cave sauna visit

WHEN: 7th of September at 18.00

WHERE: the Viking Village, 30 km from Tallinn

PRICE: ~70-80kr per person (depending on the amount of participants)

REGISTRATION: here

LIMIT: 30 persons

DESCRIPTION: The Viking Village is established in an ancient and mysterious area on the beautiful bank of River Pirita, so it is really interesting place to visit. Cave sauna itself is rented with a front room for 3 hours (from 18.30 till 21.30). The wooden platform of the sauna is meant for 10 people, the front room seats at least 20 people around the tables. So please take some food and drinks with you:) If someone is interested, there is also a Tavern (open till 22.00) where you can order a wide choice of dishes.
We will get to the Viking village by the special bus and it will bring us back to the Hostel around 22.30.

MEETING PLACE: near the Academic Hostel at 17.45. Departure is at 18.00, so please don’t be late!

Note: as I have to pay the money straight on arrival to the Village, please take the needed sum of money with you in cash and give it to me before going to the bus.
